Domestic violence and emotional abuse are defined as behaviors used by one person in a relationship to control the other. Domestic violence does not discriminate and can happen at any time during a relationship. Domestic violence can happen in heterosexual and homosexual relationships. It crosses all ethnic, social, and economic levels. Domestic abuse comes in many different forms including:
- Emotional
- Financial
- Physical
- Psychological
- Sexual
- Verbal
